Add text


The Drawing Tools offer options to add labels and text boxes to your maps.

Add labels

  1. Open the Drawing Tools in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Draw and Create area.
  3. Select the Place standalone label tool, first option.
  4. Move down to text settings - select:
    • text colour - select the black box to see colour options
    • bold or regular font. Untoggle the Bold button for regular font
    • text size - select from the drop down list
  5. Now select the point on the map window where you want to place your label.
  6. Type the required text in the box.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Your label should be visible in the map window.

Add text box

  1. Open the Drawing Tools in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Draw and Create area.
  3. Select the Place text box tool, the second option.
  4. Now select the point on the map window where you want to place your box.
  5. Type the required text in the box.
  6. Select OK.
  7. Your box should be visible in the map window.

Resize text box

You can resize your box by pulling the double arrow at the bottom right of the text box.

Add measurement labels

  1. Open the Drawing Tools in the sidebar.
  2. Find the Draw and Create area.
  3. Select the Add measurment tool, the third option.
  4. Now select the feature to add a label to…in the image below, we’ve added a label to a polygon that we added.
    • You can only add measurement labels to the drawings that you have added, not features on the actual map.
    • You can add measurement labels to lines or shapes.
  5. Your label should be visible in the map window.
